Rocky Mountain House (pop. 6500) is located on Highway 11, approx. 45 minutes west of Red Deer, Alberta, at the Central Gateway to The Majestic Rocky Mountain Range. We are also easily accessible from Calgary (2 hrs. south) and Edmonton (2 hrs. north). We are a prosperous fast growing community and a major centre for Timber, Agriculture, Oil and Gas Enterprises as well as being a gateway to the splendid recreation areas of the Rocky Mountains.

This area is one of Alberta’s favorite playgrounds with something for everyone to enjoy. Our rich history spans from the fur trade and pioneer era to our present vibrant and industrial economy. The awe inspiring Rocky Mountain scenery is breathtaking and only a short drive from here with many adventures available to everyone in the foothills and mountains.
